Do I need sensors or a Shopify store?
No. ColdLane works from your lane, product and ship date. It is built for sellers on Etsy, Instagram, WhatsApp or your own website, and works with any carrier and lanes worldwide.
How does ColdLane decide which day is safest?
It pulls the weather forecast along the route, estimates how long your carrier usually takes, and simulates how your packaging holds temperature for each of the next seven ship days. Each day gets a risk score.
How accurate are the transit times?
With no history on a lane we use typical times for the carrier and distance, and we say clearly that confidence is low. When you add tracking numbers, completed shipments make the estimate for that lane more accurate.
What happens after I ship?
Add the tracking number and ColdLane re-checks the parcel every day. If a delay, customs hold or missed scan pushes it outside its safe window, we email you and, if you choose, your customer.
What if a box still spoils?
Generate an evidence pack with the forecast, tracking timeline, packaging used and the risk verdict at ship time, ready to print or save as a PDF for a carrier or insurance claim. It costs $12 per pack.
Can ColdLane guarantee my goods arrive safe?
No. Forecasts and carrier times are estimates and real-world handling varies. ColdLane helps you decide with better information, but you remain responsible for product safety.
What counts as a shipment?
Each check you run in your account counts as one shipment. Your first 3 checks are free. Starter includes 40 per month and Pro includes 200 per month.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes. Manage or cancel your subscription from the billing portal in your account. Access continues until the end of the paid period.
